More than 2,000 kilometres on foot and one dream come true – to walk to Asia. With just six kilos on her back, traveller Nicolette Havlová spent 104 days walking from her native Havířov, through Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Bulgaria to Istanbul in Turkey. What is it like to be alone in the mountains, to face attacks from herding dogs, to (not) let yourself be married off at the Romanian-Serbian border, to have a stray puppy as a partner for the last hundreds of kilometres and then to hitch-hike back home in record time in less than 72 hours? How does one get close to the wilderness and find their way to their own heart at the same time? We will learn all this and much more during this interesting travel lecture.
We are looking forward,
