{"id":12217,"date":"2022-09-09T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-09T06:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/new.brumlovka.cz\/aktuality\/the-very-first-episode-of-the-mini-series-green-roofs-living-roofs-brings-us-to-brumlovka"},"modified":"2024-07-03T20:24:35","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T18:24:35","slug":"the-very-first-episode-of-the-mini-series-green-roofs-living-roofs-brings-us-to-brumlovka","status":"publish","type":"aktuality","link":"https:\/\/new.brumlovka.cz\/en\/news\/the-very-first-episode-of-the-mini-series-green-roofs-living-roofs-brings-us-to-brumlovka","title":{"rendered":"The very first episode of the mini-series Green roofs &#8211; living roofs brings us to Brumlovka"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>The Svaz zakl\u00e1d\u00e1n\u00ed a&nbsp;\u00fadr\u017eby zelen\u011b (czech landscape association) chose the location of Brumlovka for its pilot episode of the mini-series \u00b4Green Roofs \u2013 Living Roofs\u00b4 project.\u00a0 The association presents Brumlovka as an example of Prague&#8217;s&nbsp;district where greenery is cultivated not only on the ground but also on the roof terraces.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Greenery on rooftops fulfills several other functions in addition to aesthetics, such as the possibility of using rainwater or the elimination of heat islands,&#8221; says Martin Unger, Technical Director of the Passerinvest Group which develops the Brumlovka location.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<iframe src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/upgAxje6EEQ\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" width=\"560\" height=\"314\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The vegetation on the roofs humidifies the air and can also catch torrential rains.
